Stephen Mack

Joubert Syndrome
We proudly welcome Stephen Mack to the H4H Rare Storytellers Team. Stephen joins the Harmony 4 Hope lineup with his unique story and special connection to Northwestern University.

"Harmony 4 Hope is creating a stage among aspiring doctors for the Rare Disease Community to share their individual stories. To me, sharing a story is giving a voice. For those who cannot speak, for those who cannot advocate, for those who inspire me every day, especially my daughter, by sharing the story, we are able to ensure that these voices are heard."

An alumni of Northwestern, Dr. Stephen Mack is a Dissertation Writing Expert and Adjunct Professor for the National Center for Academic and Dissertation Excellence at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Before TCSPP, Dr. Mack was an Adjunct Professor in Residence of French Language and Literature at Dominican University, a Visiting Lecturer of French Language Instruction at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an Adjunct Instructor of French Language for 13 years at McHenry County College. Dr. Mack earned his BA in French and International Relations from Northwestern University, his MA in French and Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and his EdD in Educational Leadership from Argosy University.

Recently, Dr. Mack finished a 2-year term as President of the Joubert Syndrome Foundation and still serves on the Board as Immediate Past President. His most important role among all of this is as husband to Denise, and father to Isabella, Christian, and Abigail. When Isabella was born, she was diagnosed with a very rare condition called Joubert syndrome. From that moment forward, Dr. Mack has been dedicated to education, advocacy, mentoring, and support of research into rare diseases. Dr. Mack is a proud NU alum (WCAS ’96 – GO CATS!) and has been regularly engaged in alumni events and support.
